I am pleased to announce that Sam has completed his Leader training and been awarded his wood beads. The District Commissioner has also appointed Sam to the role of Cub Scout Leader. Sam has been doing this role in an acting position but has been recognised for his hard work in running the Cub Pack with his Leadership Team.
Leaders are awarded there wood badge (which is usually know as wood beads) when they complete a training course for their role in Scouting. This is usually made up of a set number of modules. Further training modules are undertaken when more senior roles are taken. They are then awarded further wood badges, but in reality they only get additional certificates rather than additional wood beads.
Well done Sam.
